About Albert Chan
Albert completed the 3000 hr+ massage therapy program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. You can expect him to provide a verbal and physical assessment, a treatment plan, and recommended homecare/remedial exercise. He aims to achieve people-centered care by working alongside them through their treatment goals, affected activities of daily living, and preference in pressure and treatment modalities.
The modalities he uses in his treatments include a combination of Swedish massage, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, and passive/active stretches. Albert is also certified to provide Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and is trained in NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) Level 1.

Before learning massage therapy, Albert studied anatomy and physiology to enhance his martial arts training in Northern Shaolin Kung Fu at the time. He completed his diploma in Human Kinetics at Langara College before transferring to UBC for his bachelor’s in Kinesiology. Outside of being a RMT, you can find Albert enjoying a variety of foods, whether it be eating out or homemade, or joining his friends in online or in-person games
Direct billing is available for massage services with Albert. Some common insurance companies we bill to include: Sun Life Financial, Great West Life / Canada Life, Manulife, Pacific Blue Cross, and Green Shield.
